What to do on a rainy Saturday
Happy 100th Birthday, Central Station.
A lazy morning, somewhat clarified with Earl Grey, was spent putting the finishing touches to the scores I’m republishing. From Marcel Dupré’s œuvre, his “Poème Heroïque”. BUT! As it was the 100th Birthday for Sydney’s Central Station, I thought Sean and I would pop along and have a look. Ambling down each platform and inspecting what “new” toys the State Government had come up with to keep us moving. As a contrast, 3801 Limited, the New South Wales Rail Transport Museum and the Powerhouse Museum graciously provided the means with which to run two double-ended steam train shuttle services between Central and Hurstville. Some piccies are below.
